The door of the FT-8080 comes with a 1/4″ smooth aluminum plate reinforced for live load of 150 lb/sq. ft.. It’s also 1/8″ recessed for carpet//vinyl tile to make it blend seamlessly with the floor’s surrounding. The frame is a 1-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ aluminum angle with mounting holes on top of the flange.

Manufacturers used aluminum material for the floor door’s overall frame, providing a lightweight and durable construction. You can secure the door panel in with 1/4″ x 1″ flat head screws, and you can prevent the floor material from cracking or chipping within the door panel by using the securing screws located in the flange of the mounting frame.
